keep your virus protection up to date. The Army has tagged the site you linked to as as a "malicious site."

Of course, they have also managed to ban looking at any comments in the fortysomething community, reason being "sex." Sex? It's middle-aged people whining about their jobs and their kids, mostly.

So maybe the robots are just screwing with us again.

Digg's been blocked for a long time under "Malicious sites" for some reason. I think it's because they don't have a category "Productivity Hindrance" Of course, almost every site would be blocked under that.

Weird. The entire domain "community.livejournal.com" seems to have been blocked under "Sex". The only reason I can see the entries is because the friends page is put together by LJ and then sent to the browser through happinessiseasy.*

I hate Websense... so much..

Yeah, I'm sure the robots found something raunchy and did a blanket ban on the community URL. At least it didn't ban all of LJ this time. You're supposed to be able to contact somebody to tell them that a site has been blocked in error, but I don't want to be the one raise my hand and say "hey, the site where I goof off at got blocked."

Maybe we should start an LJ community for Redstone scientists, programmers, and analysts. Then we'd have a legitimate need for LJ to remain accessible.

Nah, bad idea, they'd probably just have Blackwater take us out back and shoot us.

Yeah, if we had a project community on Livejournal, or something like that, it would secure the fact that they'd never block the whole domain. Last time they blocked the entire domain, I actually emailed them and told them I use it for news aggregation. I never got an email back, so I dunno if my email had any effect at all. They probably just count the number of complaints they get, and if it surpasses a certain number, they unblock it.

They probably laughed so hard that they decided to give you a break.
